Hello, I'm trying to find the time period of production for the Yamaha AR202 ski. There is a number on them, possibly serial, 331545. MidwestPete pointed me in your direction, any help is appreciated... Thanks

I have been gifted some binding install manuals by a local shop, and I thought of you. I have some doubles, and I was wondering if you would be interested in adding them to your warehouse of gear, as I know you are 'binding guy'. Mostly Salomon, some Tyrolia, etc, from early-mid 90's (so far). If you are interested, I could send them to you, and we could work on trading gear for the cost of postage some time in the future.
Unfortunately, the shop owner had to toss all his old binding jigs a couple of years ago, before I got to know him. He had 50 or more, for Burt, Spademan, Besser, etc, etc.
Let me know if you are interested in shop practices/technical manuals, etc.

i sent you a question not sure you got it.......demoed 8.1's last weekend form totem pole( okemo)
they were luxurious, knees , legs felt like i didnt ski.
the bumps were icy on sels and plunge so the 8.1's werent ideal. why do you prefer the 8.7's.
im looking for a new ski.......i've read your posts and respect your opinion.

Phil, did you see the Fulie - Hart in for sale by MTlion. What do you know about that ski? 86 underfoot doesn't scare me. Would it work in the East. Sounds like a fast EC ski? $300. is nice,but would it ski ok for me at 5'10" 195# in a 167cm?

Rather than hijack the Blizzard thread, some thoughts on the Marker to Vist switch.

I never had the Marker prerelease issue, but, the thought played in my mind. The Vist switch eliminates the prerelease concern. At the speeds I'm skiing at, there isn't a noticealbe difference in hold between the bindings.
The Vist system is heavier, but, that's an issue only when I carry the skies. The Vist riser plate may offer a slight advantage when getting the skis on edge, but, SL's do that easily anyway. Not sure if the edgeing benefit is real or percieved.

I did like the bindings on the 8.7's. Are they Markers?

Still, I'm glad the switch got done. Thanks for gettin this done. Hope you enjoyed the Scotch.

Got the Hart Attacks today and am wondering if they are too short or if I should just mount them up and ski them? They are 166's and I'm 6' and 185. They don't seem very stiff when I hand flex them. Will they be ok or should I pass them on to someone else? Could you compare them to any of the current retail skis? Had the RX8, are they similar?

If I do mount them up should I use a plate? I have a pair of Free Flex 14's laying around and could get a tyrolia plate for the ski.
