Hi Fellow Lounge Lizards-
I can relate to foot pain while skiing. I friend of mine who worked in a ski store recommended a solution that seems to help relieve some pressure and pain. He called them "bird perches" What I do to relieve the pain in my feet while skiing is to roll up gauze and then tape it to my feet under my toes to create support like bird grasping a perch. I usually wear thinner socks and cold days put in a toe warmers. The support under my toes seems to help relieve my feet from cramping. I haven't skied in a while because of the pain. I have have tried super-feet Orthodothics and they don't seem to make much difference. Anyone have any other suggestions? The pain happens in both downhill boots and in Xcountry. The perches worked for a while but I have make them every time I ski. I have tried layering sticky back foam padding to the insole but that usually comes off and the pain starts again. I would love to hit the slopes without the achy feet. Any suggestions?
