After nearly 30 yrs of skiing TNT's with perfect out of the box fit I may have to move on.....my budget is very limited at the moment....it will be very helpful to me to have all the exact specs of my vintage boots....had 4 pair, down to 2 pair now due to ski lodge explosions of 2 pair of my explosion 8's.
Solly Impact 10 307 BSL is same perfect fit btw but not in my budget at the moment. Dragon 120 also a near perfect out of box fit. $500-$800 for new is out.....and there are no Tecnica over 100 flex locally remaining (Dragon 100 is all that is left, I need 110 flex minimum) and 1 pair of 307 BSL Impact 10's left in each of the LSS...$650 at one shop and $775 at the other. No can do.
I have custom insoles and a neutral stance for setup, I have no need for custom bootfitting. Finding the last generation Explosion 8 shell (the ones that don't fail) in a 304 BSL (see the other thread in which to mount my near mint spare liner would be best but that quest is failing.
Due to the 2 recent shell failures I am now somewhat concerned that I could have a boot break apart in the midst of a 20mph+ gs turn.......a very troubling thought indeed.
My boot quest is limited to the big auction site at the moment, thus my desire for the specs on my current perfect fit.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated, just a bear looking for some free help here.
I have hard copies of Tecnica catalogs back to 2006 in hand, unfortunately the earlier info from previous years has been tossed out.
