which skis to replace my dad straights from 1992

looking for some advice on what skis i should get my old man. he is a good all around skier who occasionally likes to really attack the hill. have been looking around for used ones $200-$300. rossignol phantoms sc80, apache recons by k2, would really love to get him some blizzard magnums, not within the price range for him thou. help me, please?

If he likes to attack the hill, then anything other than super G skis will be squirly under his feet, for new gear anyway.  Please don't force you dad to buy into the industry gimmick skis.
