Hey now - that first K2 video (and apparent intent) is interesting.
They seem to be claiming that their Rockered Skis can engage quickly and easily on Groomers ("Effortless Initiations") - yet the footage of skiers clearly belies that claim!
Notice how the skiers don't really "engage the tips" to begin any turns?
What they actually do is hop through transition from one set up highly-upturned edges to the other set of highly-upturned edges. In many turns they also Pivot the skis in the air to get them across their direction of travel before "engaging the edges" In turns near the end of the video the skis generally leave the snow entirely coming down on highly upturned-edges.
I don't see progressive edge engagement anywhere in that video resulting from proper tip-engagement yet they seem to be claiming (in the overlay text) that those Rockered Skis do just that. Any ski (Rockered, Reverse-Cambered, Twin-tip, Reverse-Sidecut, Classic, etc) will "Carve" cleanly once it's pivoted and turned way up on edge!
I call 'BS' on their advertising in that video!
