Here's a recent clip of Ted Ligety at Beaver Creek GS on 12/5/10.
U.S. Ski Team racer Ted Ligety smoked the field to win his first World Cup on home soil with the GS win at Beaver Creek on December 5, 2010. Here we break down the bottom section of his 2nd run. Note to coaches and juniors - World Cup courses and conditions are at a level seldom seen at the junior level, it is hard to appreciate on TV or video. As a result, the skiing is not perfect. Perfect skiing is rarely the fastest skiing - the racers are trying to get to the finish line as fast as possible with the skill they have. They try to perfect their skills through training, but race day is about putting it down the hill. Search the Alpine collection for many of these training drills that allow Ted to go "full gas" on race day.
