I like to carry a water bottle on the inside pocket of my parka so I don't have to spend $3 on water every day and I don't have to throw away a bottle every day. I fill it up at the water fountain when it runs out once or twice a day.
I usually use a disposable 500mL water bottle I buy in cases of 24 at BJs. I try to reuse it a few times before I toss it. But, the plastic as gotten so thin on the throw-away bottles, they tend to crack and leak.
I tried a 500mL Platypus but it didn't hold enough, was hard to fill at the water fountain, and the top was kind of hard to drink from. And I lost the top. It just didn't seem to be a good system.
I tried a 600mL, Sig bottle that's oval instead of round. But it's still 1.25" thick and if I ever fell on it, I'd crack three ribs.
Any suggesting for a good reusable water bottle?
- Easy to refill.
- Soft but not breakable.
A camel back would be waaaay too much.
