I just got a pair of 2010 Tecnica Phoenix 100 boots and so far they are working out great for my "Flinestone" feet. I want to install Booster straps that I took off my old boots (they were threaded through the cuff without rivets) on these new ones but do not see an easy way to do it. It looks like I would need to drill out the two rivets holding the stock strap and then set the Booster straps in the correct position before riveting the cuff, spoiler and strap together. Since I do not have a riveter, I would have to use screw rivets and am wondering if it worth taking a shop to do professionally?

To close the loop on this topic, I did end up taking these boots to have the straps installed at a reputable shop in Santa Fe.
As predicted, the shop charged me $20 to do the work but they really scrapped up the steel reinforcement on the back of the boot with a hacksaw they used to remove the rivets.
The owner claimed that they had to do this because the "aircraft grade" rivets could not be drilled out and so the paint and metal damage on the reinforcement was unavoidable. While the damage appears to be only cosmetic (we'll see this weekend), I was really disappointed in the quality of the work (the flatheads screws on the T-nuts stuck out due to the use of flat washers rather than finishing washers, the straps were not mounted evenly, etc.).
I politely shared with the owner that I was not happy. After an awkward silence, I paid for the work and the owner did not offer any compensation other than a coupon for a free ski tune. I thought to myself "after what they did to my boots, he thinks I am going to trust my skis to this shop?"
