Hello Bootfitters - I recently changed the stock footbeds in my Technica Dragon 100's with SuperFeet Red Hot's, and honestly, I feel no difference whatsoever, not in comfort, not in tiredness of legs, not in balance, edging or skiing ability - nothing. My boots were comfortable to begin with, and I wasn't necessarily having any real boot problems. I used my boots for 1 season with the stock footbeds, and after reading so much 'hype' about Superfeet 'working miracles' and being the best 'off-the-shelf" footbed, I decided to give them a try when I found them on sale for half-off. I'm just curious as to your professional opinions ? With the retail price being a whopping $49, for fairly basic off-the-shelf footbeds, I am honestly a bit disappointed.
Superfeet - Overpirced hype ? or real benefit ?

Keep in mind a footbed is not a cure-all for ski boot problems, and it is not a devise that will magically change the way you ski. However, a properly fitting footbed it is meant to be the foundation of the foot and helps to stabilize and align the foot inside the boot.
Superfeet makes a great product and there is no question whether a good footbed is a benefit, it is a proven fact. An off-the-shelf footbed like the one you have fits most people very well however you may eventually want to check with a professional boot fitter to see if you would benefit from a custom model.
My recommendation would be to put the stock footbed in one boot and then the Superfeet in the other and go skiing...you might be surprised at the side-by-side comparison. Make sure to bring the other Superfeet with you because mostly likely you will feel the difference!
Have a great run.
