I'd like to hear from all of you what you think would be your home mountain or favorite resort's top three attributes. Be as broad or narrow in your scope as you wish. If it is three best trails or the spectacular view or resort amenities share your opinion with us.
As example for Laurel Mountain, my home hill, which has been closed but slated to re-open in the next year or two I would list:
Good - Tallest vertical drop of the three Laurel Highland resorts. Better - Old fashion trails that undulate with the natural contour of the mountain. Best - Expert terrain in the region.
Another example for Seven Springs, Pennsylvania's largest ski resort: Good - Lots to do literally under one roof in the sprawling hotel/convention center including shopping in specialty boutique shops. Better - Apre ski in the slopeside Foggy Goggle Lounge.
Best - One of the most extensive snowmaking plants in the east covering 97% of 300 acres, 48 hours will freshen the slopes after a thaw.
Let's hear what you think.
