First of all, I hate carrying gear to the lodge and I'm not one of those special folks with a locker all season. I do use Cat Trax.. currently the Yak Trax version. But, today I started wondering.. Is it harder on your boots to walk in them all bucked up and tight.. or is it harder on your boots to go with the more comfortable unbuckled feet slopping around a little in them all the way to and from the car? I would think it is less wear on the liners buckled but maybe more stress on the shells walking in them buckled.. but that is probably still less than skiing in them right? I would like to hear some expert opinions on this topic.
