So, hubby has a 15 year old pair of Raichle Flexon Comp boots. He loves them. We don't get to ski often these days, but are making a trip to Tahoe in February. I have been trying to convince him he needs new boots. He has tried on a lot but none of them feel like his ancient Raichle's. He's a pretty competent skier who is also very athletic. (He really must like them, since they are grey with hot pink buckles. Nice!)
So, question is, will these boots work sufficiently with today's modern skis? If so, is there any danger (other than to my nose, because they stink after a day on the hill) in using them? I had no idea they were still being made as "Full Tilt's" and had quite a laugh when I saw the streaming ad here for the Full Tilt's. Get out!
If they AREN'T safe to use anymore, then we might just have to hunt down a shop that sells them in the Tahoe area. If there are any! Anyway, advice on the design and safety would be great. Thanks!
