Did I hear a rumour that the Mid-Atlantic is in for a White Christmas?

This snow has been called off. The storm is heading north offshore.

Whitetail,BTW, was very good yesterday. 100% open including all the snowboard

rails & a halfpipe.   Bold Decision trail was in the best shape I've ever seen it.

This Christmas holiday should be very good to mid-atlantic areas. No rain expected

during this period.

Reports are for 6-10 inches Sunday into Monday here on Long Island.  Hope that some of that falls in the mountains to the north.

Looks like mostly a coastal eventth_dunno-1[1].gif

But, we should get enough to get out the sleds and other toys here in central semi-flat NC.yahoo.gif

It's a little sad that I have 2 nordic days more than alpine this season, but I'll take it all.

currently snowing at my parents' house in Knoxville TN.  There's about an inch in the front yard.

We got about 2 inches here in the north Atlanta suburbs and might be getting a little more tonight. Great to see the snow but it means I might have to delay my trip out to breck by a couple days :(

I hear you, I have one nordic day more than alpine but I'll finally get out tomorrow. I have been totally unprepared so today will be gear check day. I bought new boots so all of my bindings have to be remounted. Oh, I can adjust in place but forward pressure is all wrong, totally outside the markers on all my skis. Local weather said up to 6 inches today and tomorrow but we'll see. I gotta get out before the rain projected by weekend.

Nice! I think it's Ski Beech though. I was expecting a shot of someone skiing down a dune at Hilton Head or something. That would be fun too.

Ski Beech yesterday

Standing under a lift at 5,500' elevation.. Best the East has to offer in that regardyahoo.gif  But too bad all the summit lifts weren't operation.  This is what it looked like at the bottomhopmad.gif

Empty Haulrope? What's up with that. BTW - that lens has some crazy distortion, or maintenance may want to have a loo at that tower. ;)
