What's wrong with this picture?

LOL...

Just received a new helmet and it doesn't seem to fit right. It's flat on my head and I still have this big space... if I tilt it down in line with my goggles then it's too high up on my neck. I measured 58.7 cm and a Large is suppose to fit 59-60 cm. Should I get an XL or maybe try another brand?

Unfortunately there aren't any shops in my area to do that. One place carries POC but I don't want to spend 3 bills.

I was thinking the same thing!

you need to rotate the helmet forward, you are wearing it wrong.

I feel horrible but the picture is hysterical.  Truly the definition of gaper gap.  You have a big head like me, you can’t wear that style of helmet. You need to get a more skateboard style helmet, not a 1960’s café racer helmet.   IMHO that helmet should be worn only if you ride a Triumph and chain smoke cigarettes.

your right, it's straight out of downhill racer.

smith goggles  plus smith helmet often works.

here's what that looks like... in this position there's a little space in the back between the top of my head and helmet.

I do have a Smith helmet but I want something for racing that has protection over the ears.

What Whiteroom said.

Specialty items like this need to be tried in the position they are designed to be worn.  Get in a tuck and see how it feels then.  You'll appreciate the extra room at the back of your neck.  This is the same reason cycling jackets are longer in the back.  They might cover your butt when you're walking but when you're on your bike - in a tuck, they just barely cover your waist.  Much appreciated when its raining and you're cycling.  That cut in the back isn't to save material, its for comfort/fit.  You need to tilt your head up in a tuck and you don't want the back of the helmet in the way.

Get a neck gaiter.
