Seeking input on selecting a POW Ski. I am an advanced to expert skier, 46 years old, 185 lb, ski 30-35 days per year the last few years, mainly in Tahoe and I've, been through some Epic and other trainings with quality coaches. Comfortable on all single blacks and most double diamonds (90%), ski regularly in the Chutes at Mt Rose, KT-22 bowl....silverado, and also get some days in Utah, CO or MT at least once annually.

Huge dumps in Tahoe are driving me towards scoring a PHAT POW ride. My everyday ski is a Dynastar Mythic Rider, 178, (88 mm wide).

I've noticed all the raves about the Rossi S7 but have also heard good things about a few other POW skis, such as the Blizzard Pogo Stick.

I recently saw the Liberty Helix and Double Helix offered at a good price and would be very interested in hearing what anyone who has ridden those skis this season or demo'd them as previews last season has to say about those. The Double Helix is a uge ski, but seems a little geared towards back country rather than any every day skiing.

I read the ski magazine test reviews and the S7 scored big but so did some of the blizzards....and a few other models. I would typically demo a few pairs out at least and may still do that, but with the huge dumps I'd like to make a move sooner than later.

I appreciate your input, gonna be a great season in Tahoe, was skiing in 2 ft of pow before thanksgiving so need those PHAT boards soon.

Thanks and Happy Trails!
