And the storm continues to grow: CITIES OR TOWNS THAT MAY BE MOST
VULNERABLE WHERE ACCESS BECOMES LIMITED INCLUDE SILVERTON...CRESTED BUTTE...AND ON TOP OF THE GRAND MESA. THE HIGHEST SNOW TOTALS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE ELK AND SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS. IF YOU RESIDE IN THESE AREAS...CONSIDER STOCKING UP ON NEEDED SUPPLIES FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THESE AREAS HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF SEEING EPIC SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY REACH AS HIGH AS 6 TO 8 FEET BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON. --- NOAA

Damn, out of bourbon. Call 911

Well, maybe you guys in CB will finally get all those shark fins covered under a few inches of snow! biggrin.gif

OK, I'm jealous. I admit it... This is just the universe mocking me for making fun of the typical coverage in your neck of the woods. Hope it blows in great and you get to have a fantastic time with it!

Spin - heh. I hear you. The uber dry snow has turned to something more familiar in your neck of the woods - 2 inches of water in 13 inches of snow during one stretch. Some of the wettest on record in these parts. I actually don't mind skiing it but hate shoveling it out of the way. Will make a nice gluey base for the season.

Booked a visit there for a week starting Feb. 28th.  Save some snow for me and the geezer tour.  Will bring plenty of brews and bourbon myself if there is a real shortage.

Trip is done.  Brews and bourbon were acquired in Gunnison - got a few freebie passes via Coors Light and Shell gasoline!  What a freakin' awesome mountain!

Nice! So glad you had a good time. This has been a great winter! Give me a shout next time you come. I'd like to make some turns with ya.

I posted a review of CB, if you're interested.  Maybe a TR of my Irwin catski day too (not so awesome due to breakable crust snow rather than powder).
