I was forced to buy some new boots (Saloman RS Mission 8) this season. After sevreal days, the toe box feels like it has excessive room. I have custom foot beds and the boots were professionally fit. I tried several different models before selecting these. I have high arches and insteps which have always been a challenge when it comes to good fitting footwear. Can the liner or foot bed be shimmed to help take up some of that room?

yes they can be shimmed, but I bet that the boot is too big for you overall. If you need a shim, try using the stock footbed, under your custom one.
what is the shell fit like? (read some of the wikis on how to fit boots if you dont know how to do this)
