Thread Starter

First real storm of season now in New Mexico.

Sipapu gained 12" last 24 hours and offers $39 lift tickets with $5 discount available from us at Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza.

Taos gained 10" over 24 hours and offers A Brewmasters Festival this weekend.

Angel Fire gained only 6" but that’s better than where we’ve been!

Adventure Sports has a new downtown ski shop at 233 Paseo del Pueblo Sur.  They'll offer $5 discounts to Guests at Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza adjacent to the new shop.

We've had some issues with rose colored reports from the above poster on FirstTracksOnline.  Those who have been to Taos know it's a steep and rocky mountain.  The locals recommend the "75-inch rule," which is the requisite base depth to get most of the expert terrain skiable. Taos currently reports a 25 inch base with 8 out of 112 trails open, none of them advanced.  They have a long way to go, and in this La Nina year I wouldn't even think about booking there before mid-February.
