$379 for Heavenly and Northstar. Is it a good thing or bad?

I think this deal will make two of the most crowded resorts in Tahoe even more crowded. What do you think?

Definitely a catch-22 with cheap season passes close to large population centers.

Welcome to Vail Resorts. rolleyes.gif  Don't forget that all of us Coloradans also have free days there on our passes too.

It's a good thing for skiing affordability.  The other Tahoe resorts will have to respond.  But traffic will get much worse, and there will be tons of folk on the hill.  Noodler is right; the evidence is in Colorado.

I don't see it as a big deal since Heavenly has had a cheep pass for many years now and i believe that Northstar has also.  And even with all those passes, it is only crowded at heavenly for a dozen day a year and that's only on two chairs (sky and dipper) and only a few hours each of those days.  Now the parking at Heavenly that's a different story.  If you get there after 9:30 it's a mess, but then again you shouldn't be getting there that late anyway...

Northstar was bad. Vailstar will be worse.

Make more $$$. Problem solved. :-)

Personally, I don't ski either anymore, tho I still have a soft spot for the Nevada side of Heavenly.
