Storing Boots in the Cold

So I am going home for winter break (yay! only 1 more final) and leaving my car at DIA. My family will be coming out a week before I go back to school to ski. As a result I am leaving all my ski stuff ( yes I will make sure it's not visible) in my car so that we can drive straight from DIA to Breck. I know to keep my boots inside before I ski but is there any issue leaving them in a cold car for 2 weeks? I would prefer not to have to take them home to GA with me...

It will improve performance.

My only concern would be if it got stupidly cold (like, I don't know, -50F or something), the plastic in the boots might have issues.  Rapid temperature cycling could also stress the plastic, but that's unlikely to happen.

They'll be fine.

Make sure they're dry before leaving them in the car.

If they are going from car directly to feet, open them up and put them on the floor with opening towards the heat vents and warm them up on the way to the slopes.

I don't think the cold storage would be a problem (and we're not expecting a severe cold snap that I know of) but I would at least park in an area that is more secure than the regular lots at DIA.  I use US Airport Parking (check website for coupons) and because you drive in, they meet you there and load you on the bus and then you are brought back by bus from the airport it's pretty hard for random people to wonder around and do soemthing to your car.

Be sure to leave them with a few ski p0rn mags and Dan Brown's latest book. Otherwise there is no telling what two cold bored ski boots will do to your car.... There will be hell to pay I tell ya

Amen. Also, this just in from the peanut gallery (aka "wife") - she would rather I locked road kill in the car for two weeks than MY boots. Oddly enough, I would tend to agree....

Thanks for the responses. I figured they would be fine but wanted to double check.

As a side note I am currently on a plane at 30000ft isn't technology amazing? I remember when my teachers made us do things

handwritten because not everyone had a computer to use or internet if they had a computer... I feel old lol
