TWIN TIP SIZING QUESTION?

I just got a really good deal on a pair of armada el rays, they were brand new but the 2010 model so the shop had them for only 239.

i  decided to get them because the 2011 were the ones i was thinking about getting and the price was great. I was kinda hoping to get around 170 but these were only a 164. Now im 5'8 about 160lbs and ive had a pair of ski blades for about 9 years now that i have used. I ski on mostly packed groomed conditions and have never not went down a diamond they dont scare me lol. Now i figured since ive had snow blades for so long that the 164's should be ok or if i made a bad decision i would like to get some input from other people thanks

For what it's worth, a twin tip takes 10cm off the running length of the ski.  A 160 lb, person on effectively 154cm skis will feel more like they are on ski blades than skis.  Once you pick up speed, especially in variable terrain or snow conditions, you would probably benefit from a better grip on the situation than a 164 twin tip will give you. On the other hand, considering you've spent the last 9 years on ski blades, you will undoubtedly have a good time.
