Hi guys, it's so huge this community, I like it ! I've never skied (except for nordic skiing)
I've just found a shop that sells
Rossignol Axium STR carving (106 - 69 - 97)
Rossignol Axium STS carving (106 - 69 - 97)
Rossignol Cut T-Power carving (105 - 65 - 95)
I'm thinking of buying a pair of skis for my first 20 hours of lessons with the teacher, renting them cost too much, one of these pair of ski would cost 150 $ brand new (of course is from 2005/2006)
The length of the three skis is 170 cm (66,93 inches) (I'm Italian, but I've seen that length of skis is expressed in cm, while human height is in foot)
I'm tall 178 cm (70,08 inches) (5,84 ft)
I asked someone who know a lot of things about skiing (he also rent axium) and he told me that for both axium STR and STS he suggests 164 cm (64,57 inches), just at the height of the eyes.
And he said that with a 170 cm (66,93 inches) I'd have problems in controlling the skis.
So he told me not to buy the axium.
He also said that as soon as the carving measures change, also the height changes, but he didn't tell me more.
Actually Cut T-Power are slightly different from the axium, do you think that this difference could allow me to buy Cut T-Power which are 170 cm ?
