Boot: Tecnica Agent 120s (10/11) 26.5
The shell fit is fairly tight and seems to follow the feet well (the sides of my foot are grazing the sides of the boot but not pushing on it and there is maybe 1 fingers worth of room in the heel when the toes are touching the front). I have only been able to ski on the boots once but have been breaking them in at home. That one time was very unpleasant though ...
The area of the foot from the toes to the balls of the feet will feel a little squished (more from the top than the sides) for about 30 mins before going numb & cold. It feels like pressure is concentrated on the toe bones closest to the foot. I have the buckle closest to the toes set fairly loose (which may be the reason moisture is getting in). If I tighten it, the forefoot seems to go numb faster. The forefoot will also go numb if I am wearing the boots at home just sitting on the couch (with the front buckled very loose). Is this a liner problem (there are some seams around the toes / forefoot) or do I just need to have the toe box made a little taller? Footbed?
Also, the toe closest to the big toe (both feet) protrudes a bit and is getting rammed into the rest of the foot painfully. It took about 3 days for the pain / discomfort to go away. I am not sure if this is being caused by the liner or the front of the boot (the liner has a stretchy neoprene toe box that definitely pushes on the toe a bit) or the actual boot plastic. Any suggestions (grind / punch boot)?
I only have about 1.5 weeks left before going to Austria (incl some skiing) so I am guessing 2 more ski days max to get the boot sorted out :/
