I work p/t at a ski shop and I can't tell you how many times a guy comes in and tells me that they are looking for a new ski and that they are an advanced expert skier. So of course I start pumping for info to see what kind of skier he is so I can reccomend somehting I think he will like. I always ask what are you sking on now to get an idea of his preferences. Mr. Expert skier looks at me with a blank stare and mumbles something about having a pair of K2's (or something), you know the really good ones. You know I paid like 500 bucks for them.
Expert skier? I think not.
Me? I can name every ski I have owned since I started skiing in 1972 by mfg, model, and length as well as which binding was mounted on it. And yes I consider myself an expert skier.
PS OK, maybe I am a littel fuzzy on a few of the binding models but I gurrantee I can name the skis.
