Top of Lounge Link Broken?

I can not access the top of the lounge area using any of the links.  I can click on the most recent thread just fine.  But when I drill to the EpicSki Supporter Lounge breadcrumbs at the top or navigation combo box at the bottom of the page it times out andI get this

Tech support has been notified of the problem.

 

 

 

I've tried both FF 3.6,12 abd IE 8 running XP and Win 7.

Still having the same problem.  This times out on me:

 

EpicSki Supporter Lounge

 

So does the one in the forum nav control box at the bottom of the forums page.

 

Win 7 and XP,  IE8 and FF 3.6.12

Bump.  This is still a problem for me.  I can not access the supporter lounge except for clicking in the most recent post/thread link.  It's kinda irking me that we pay for this area but I can't fully use it.  Can someone PM me some other links to try or something?

 

FWIW, I just tried with a Vista machine and had the same problem.  Maybe it is somehow related to the ISP connection?  Raleigh/Durham Roadrunner Time Warner Cable..

 

But no similar problems anywhere else..

I can access it via that link (Win 7 Pro x64; Chrome 8.0.552.215), however I did notice it was significantly slower to load. I clicked "open link in new tab" on crgildarts link to the Supporter lounge and managed to open a new tab and load the Epic homepage before the Supporter Lounge rendered. It took 7 seconds for the Supporter Lounge to load and I'm getting 24 mb/s down right now.

Upgraded to FF 3.5.13.. still timing out.  FWIW, I was able to load the page and access the chat room the first week it was added.  Just can't get to that page anymore..frown.gif

Seems like an odd issue. Has the Dev team taken the month of Dec. off? Seems like they haven't replied to any bug report threads in a while...

So today the ISP speed seems to have picked up.

FWIW my load times are really slow since the upgrade too now. I don't time out but it takes 7 seconds for the server to reply to my page load request even though I'm pulling 24 mb/s down and 3.5 mb/s up.

I think the load of the chat in the Supporter Lounge AND the new features are draining too many resources for clean loading.  I can get links within the lounge (most recent thread) to load, just not the one at the top where the chat button and supporter benefits info are.

Charles, do you have your facebook account linked to EpicSki?  I did this the other day and have serious performance issues since.  Huddler says they are working on a solution, but this is affecting my ability to use the site, and suspect it could be your problem as well.

I've been linked to facebook since version beta first encouraged us to..  Why problems all of a sudden now?  BTW, I am getting similar time outs all over the site now, but every time at the top of the lounge.

 

Come to think of it, FB just rolled out a new version.  But, I haven't upgraded to the new profile yet and am leaning against changing as I prefer the old FB profile page layout.

The entire site is acting slow for me now too. I select a thread then go to another tab waiting for the thread to load. And I don't have ads turned on either.

Problem is pervasive on all machines sharing my network.

 

Vista, XP, and Win 7

FF 3-6-13, IE 7, IE8

I suspect it has more to do with how my ISP (TWC Roadrunner) handles the Huddler platform than it does to do with OS or Browser. We also had a similar problem about a year ago when I was using Verizon DSL so who knows...  This time it started a little less than a week AFTER the chat room was added.  So, whatever changes were made right after adding the Chat Room are most likely related to this issue.
