Hey guys, Im new to all the AT stuff but am looking to get into it. I found a great deal on a pair of new 178cm dynafit mustagh ata superlight skis. Im 6'0"/150lbs and a pretty experienced skier (started when i was 6, raced all through highschool). The price on these skis is great so im considering getting them but i havent heard anything about them. This will be my first AT setup and im going to mostly be using it in the vermont area with occasional trips to colorado. I dont really want a intense pow ski but, i dont want to struggle through it either. I will probably use this ski about half the time at jay's peak skiing the trees so, i want it to be able to be decent on the occasional groomed run. The main thing i am concerned about it how light it is. Will this ski be able to handle east coast trees or should it be kept for mountaineering?
Dynafit Mustagh ata Superlight? Good, Bad, other suggestions? Help?

Several long threads about these over at TGR. Exec summary: Very light, so ideal for extended touring, maybe too light for lift-served sidebounds or stiff, variable snow. Have the Kastle MX108 type dual radius sidecut, with shorter sidecut in back. Seems like people either love 'em or hate 'em. Wouldn't be my first choice for eastern AT, but then I don't do much of that back here so....
