My friend Jon Wade up at Steamboat sent me this. Its bizarre to think this is November and not January 29th.

Yeah it was really good up there yesterday, that video pretty much summed it up... I'd love to get a little helmet cam like that. I'd say solid knee deep everywhere, maybe a bit above the knee in some spots.. not blower, but pretty darn light for this time of the year... overall just fantastic skiing, probably better than all of last year (although your buddy Jon did make a "waist deep" claim on my friend's weather blog and I'd say that's a pretty hefty exagerration... I was 3rd chair on 4Pts and first person down Pony liftline, so had absolute first tracks everywhere I went and definitely wasn't up to my waist anywhere). Today reporting another 9" new, but most of that fell over the course of the day yesterday (4" since closing on the snow report)... I'm pretty beat from skiing every day since Weds, so taking the day off today since supposedly some more snow in the forecast this week. Lots of terrain open with even more opening this weekend (pretty sure Elkhead opens this weekend).
Thanks Tam for the update and clarification! I will be there in 2 weeks so if you can please reserve a small section of untracked for me i would really appreciate it!
Also, your pics would be appreciated.
