Most likely typical post, but still I hope to get some advise.
8 years on skies. 185lb(85kg) and 191cm tall. I'm fit.
Currently having XWave 9 (flex 100) from 2004 catalog. I can hardly flex them on slope (almost zero)
I know that modern ski boots aren't so stiff as those old models - and modern carve technique requires to be able to flex boots on slope in turn. (please correct me if I'm wrong!!!)
X3 CS (flex 100)
I can easily flex at shop - I have a feeling that little too much, I can even feel in max inclination - shell is pressing my ankle bone (right one is little bigger then left one... volleyball injury :)...
X3 10 CS (flex 120) I can flex at shop too, but significantly less then CS.
What should I take? I have a feeling X3 CS is to soft, but X3 10 CS might get very stiff at the minus temp slope...
"Boot Guys"! What is that black thing on the back of X3 10 CS cuff - with 2 holes and one screw - isn't it something to soften the X3 10 CS - if it is, then I would got for them - so in case they are to hard to me I can soften them.
No doubts about brand and fitting - I have very long shinbone, with narrow calf muscle - so need as narrow cuff as possible - what Salomon brings here I believe - If anyone have some suggestion for this type of calf - please do them - I highly appreciate any comments here. Oh! I obviously use Booster strap! that is the only way any boot can be safe for me.
Thanks a lot!
