Kastle MX98 or Nemesis?

I ski Dynastar Eden legend and the waist is a bit narrow on big powder days. I'd like to move up to 98's and have been researching. I'm female aggressive type skier go in and out of bounds. Love to find the powder. The Kastle's seem more geared to men but any thoughts on this ski for someone 5'4 125lbs?

The MX98 is not super stiff, and isn't the Eden just a shorter version of the men's ski?  An aggressive female could handle the MX98, without a doubt. It may be tricky finding one in your size, though.  What are you thinking, 168cm?  If so, that should be relatively easy to find (we still have them).  The 98 is a near perfect soft-snow all-mountain ski.  It is extremely nimble, mid-flex, has a soft tip, big sweet spot, and should kill it in any sort of off-piste condition. I am planning on mounting up a pair (178cm) for myself as well.  I haven't skied the Nemesis.

Hi Carla, Welcome to EpicSki!

I am not too far off from your size and just recently gotten the MX98 for my powder ski.

The Nemesis has more shape and may suit you for a better all mountain ski that will handle powder but the MX98 is more of a deep snow ski for someone your(our) size in the appropriate length, with less shape and an early rise tip.  I know that Nordica says the Nemesis has an early rise tip but its hardly noticeable, it at all.

All in all, I love both skis but I picked the MX98 for my deep snow ski.

Mine MX9 is 168

I am 5'6" 130 lbs.

Thanks to all - now for another questions - has anyone skied the K2 MissBehaved?

Hi Carla.

I vote MX98, but that's just me.  Anyways I'd move that question to it's own thread as it has nothing to do with the title of this one.

I skied Northstar on my MX98's today! It only took one run to remind myself why a ski like that is sooooooo much fun on a powder day!!!

RAWR!!!
