I heard a story that Alex Cushing went to a ski area in France and was very impressed and came back to build something like it, which is now the tram complex.
Everyone should boycott the Cable Car and High Camp.
From a skiing perspective the Cable Car is the worst experience on the mountain by far.
The Funitel is a billion times better. It's faster, more pleasant, more efficient, and actually brings you somewhere skiing related. There are beginner lifts there AND places where people can spend money. The Squaw One lift would also be a wonderful alternative, but they never run that for some reason.
When they close everything early in the spring and force people to ride the tram it kills the whole season.
