Got up this AM at 4 and saw it was snowing.  Took a couple pic's, one from my deck and one looking down at my Chairlift which now has snow on it - like it should.  Lookout Pass on the Montana-Idaho border is opening tommorrow.   Any away we go 2010/11 !

My house is at 2250 ft and this is the first snow of the year.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 1. Northeast wind around 7 mph. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Monday: Snow likely. Cloudy and cold, with a high near 3. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around -14.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near -2.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -14.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 3.

Lookout Pass Ski Resort Today.   Tracks into the parking lot are mine.  Best opening day snow I have ever skied - this early.Fun day for the lst turns of the year. Spokane Mike didn't know you were there or we could have made a few turns and elbow bends in the bar.   Snow was good, Moosedrool was good.   HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone

It was a last minute decision. Was wondering if you'd be up there.. kept an ear out for anyone shouting "Pete".

You gonna be up there tomorrow or Sunday? I'll probably head back up there with the wife, just haven't decided when.

It was a nice opening but without more snow it'll get ugly quick. Great seeing all the regulars. Woo Hoo winter storm watch for N. ID.

Skied Lookout today, very cold 6 degrees at Lodge, little new snow.   Lucky Friday powder really good but only did once too many logs and rocks still.   Snowing really good when left in afternoon.  Closed Mon Tue Wed reopen Thurs thanksgiving.   Heard rumor Silver is going to open Fri. anyone confirm that?

Wheres Bonni, Garry et al?   Moosedrool in bar good.   If anyone goes to Lookout take a look behind the bar and you will see a framed poster Felony Skier, my wife made that for my ski bud Van, pretty cool.

Up to our asses in snow here in Tahoe. I have maybe three feet in my yard, elevation 6300, more snow on the way tonight. In fact I can hear avalanche control going on right now at Alpine Meadows. Went to Squaw yesterday and did some combat skiing on Red Dog, fighting the crowds and the brush sticking up, but was nice to ski. Best start to the season for 10 yrs, I usually have a ski burning party this weekend to bring on the snow, it is cancelled this year due to SNOW!!!

Only worry is this layer of snow bonding to the ground for season long stability.

Mt Spokane is still saying December 4th but I would be surprised if they wait that long especially if we keep getting dumped on.

Mt Spokane never updates their website.

The snow report says:

We will open for White Friday, November 26th. Avoid the masses in town and come get your first turns of the season! Chairs 2,3,4, & 5 will be turning from 9am-4pm.
