I'm a newbie skier in the 30's looking for some information regarding a pair of new skis. I really believe you can help me out with this doubt. Last season i had a couple of lessons with some rented skis in the ski resort but this time i'm buying a pair of new skis for me.
The local store advised me to buy a Very Wed'ze 09 XP Skiboard with 1.40meters length. Since I'm 1.54m tall and my weigth is about 45kilos I believed it would be ok. But this pair is not a normal pair of skis but this ones are skiboards.
I've read some information about skiboards and it seems they are designed for a different purposes than standard skis, and are ranged between 0.9m and 1.50m.
What is the difference between a skiboard of 1.40m and a pair of normal skis of 1.40m? Do you think I will be ok with a 1.40m skiboard or should I look for a 1.40m sized pair of skis? Remember I'm only 1.54m tall.
Thanks in advance.
