Are these skis right for me? (Atomics)

Hey guys...

I just got the 2011 Atomic D2 VairoFlex 73 (73mm under foot) Skis - 167cm

I'll be skiing in the East majorly...

However, I am near 175 pounds and about 6 ft (187cm ish) tall.

Are these skis too short for me? Should I exchange them for a 175 cm?

I'll be skiing mostly on groomed runs with maybe minimal pow, maybe some glades.

Out of 5 i'd rate my skiing level 3.5-4/5.

Depends on a lot of things most important being personal preference. A shorter ski will be easier for you to through around and control. Generally a longer ski will be stiffer but I have no idea about stiffness in these skis sense it changes.

The rule of thumb is that the ski should come to between your chin and your nose. That being said a longer ski is more stable at speed and I like a longer ski. I am 5'9", 145 lbs and usually ski on a 179 ski.
