The mechanic in me is curious. As a point of reference, I've home mounted a bunch of bindings, rebuilt several motorcycle and mower engines, do most of my own home and auto repairs and have made enough mistakes to be considered an expert. I just bought a couple pairs of Salomon 900's that fell off the indemnified list, again. They are in great shape, show minimal use and are clean with no visual corrosion so they were stored properly. I'm a mature, intermediate skier and set my DIN on the low side. Please don't do the "what are your knees worth" as it's not a money thing.
So, two questions
1 - In your EXPERIENCE (as opposed to internet surfing or amateur conjecture) have you ever seen a properly mounted binding fail the binding release check?
2 - And, if it failed, were you able to adjust it to pass or do you just toss them?
