If you've been yearning to get back to using BB Code on EpicSki, you now can do that!
Simply go to My Profile in the header bar, select Edit Account Details, scroll down to this item and select BB Code:

[b]Yahoo![/b] [i]I've always liked having having code with my own initials.[/i] [color=blue]But hmm...everything I've written so far has had some sort of BB markup code, but when I preview the post, it does not seem to work, at least in the Preview window (which simply shows plain text surrounded by the BB code).[/color=blue]
I see now that, for some reason, there is a message above my editing screen here saying "This is Rich Format content so you've been switched to the Rich Editor." That's odd, since I just switched my preference to BB code in my profile. Seems like something isn't quite right yet, but I'm still happy that this feature is--or soon will be--part of EpicSki once again. Finally, composing posts in a text editor is possible again. No more posts vanishing into the black hole of the Internet!
For those unfamiliar with BB code ("Bulletin Board Code"), it is a very simple markup language that allows you to format your posts easily, simply by typing basic codes in brackets around the text. [b]Bold[/b], [i]italic[/i], and [u]underlined[/u] text are easy, as are quotes. Bulleted lists, links, colors, fonts, text size, image embedding, text centering and justification, and much more are also possible with BB code. EpicSki's normal editing screen lets you do many of these things by simply clicking on buttons, which may be simpler in some ways. But BB code frees you from needing to compose long or complex posts in the EpicSki editing screen, so you don't need to worry about a browser crash or other anomaly "disappearing" your post before you have submitted it. I, for one, much prefer to use BB code, and I've missed it ever since EpicSki's major platform change.
I'm glad it's back!
I'll post this with the BB code intact. If it doesn't work (yet), at least it will show those who have not used BB code before how it [i]should[/i] (and ultimately will, I'm confident) work.
