WTB GS cheater- 170-1755ish- for lighter adult skier (150lbs)

Looking for a livelier GS cheater- not a fan of the huge damp feel-- for an adult male 5'9"- 150 lbs-- looking for a good cruising ski for east coast hard pack (ice) on days when the bumps are too slick to ski all day and I don't have the kids in tow keeping speeds down.  But- smaller radius of 16-19 (maybe 21 tops) due to crowd factors and terrian usually skied (not wide open).

Depending how cheap your looking to go I have a Volkl F1 178cm which are a solid few years old, with Marker bindings, just chilling in my basement (with storage wax on though!)  I'd sell them really cheap because I barely use them and they're just taking up room in my quiver.

JShea.  Not a cheater but actually better.  Fischer  WC GS, 180 2007 model so 21m radius, $250. New, never seen snow!    Plate takes any binder and I can drill for Tyrolia or Salomon.  Don't be put off by the the fact it is a stock ski, this is one of my all time favorite GS skis, great fun outside the course as well as awesome in it

A little long, but they are soft.

They seem to be going up in price.  I guess they must be getting rarer, since they were only made for a year or two.  (unless there's a secret plant in Brazil\Mexico\China churning them out wink.gif)

Jshea93. I have a pair of 07/08 Atomic GS PB12 175cm skis listed for sale in the Gear section. They are exactly what you are requesting. 18.5 radius, lively and a lot of fun on harder groomers as well as Nastar or Business League Racing. Skis in really great shape and will sell for $300. They include Atomic Neox 412 Bindings. JMD.

Scotskier-- 180 may be long for my weight (150 lbs at most) in a race stock--race stock may be more than I am looking for--  was looking at the carver- Fischer WC RC (09?) but the only cheap one i could find was 170- so maybe a little short-- haven't ruled it out yet.

JMD- I eyed those for a while, and did some research-- they are probably close to what I am looking for-- but most reviewers thought they felt damper than a lot of other retail gs (which most people appreciated as a plus)-- I usually enjoy a livelier ski-- same reason I am hesitant on a pair of D2 Race GS (retail) which can be had new for pretty cheap now on ebay.  I will mull some more...

I am looking up the volkls others referenced.  Thanks for all the input....

Jshea,  understand the reaction, I used to have some similar concerns.  The 180 is the same mold as the 178 from the season before (seemd like they just standardized to 180!) and is regularly used as a womens/junior race ski so should be no issues at 150#. You will actually find it is a much more fun ski than the RC.  the 06 and the 07 versions of this ski (only change was top sheet) were the best versions of these in the 21m radius (before the rule changes to 23/27m) and more fun than the later ones
