Prophet 90 questions

Hey guys I'm probably going to be buying the prophet 90 soon in the 179 if that sounds right? I'm around 6' and 165lbs.

I'm not sure which bindings would work best I was thinking either the Marker Griffons or the Look px12 lifter. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Between the 2 just get the one you can get a better deal on. They are both decent options.

That'll be the PX's. Although very good deals on Tyrolia/Head binders too. Google 'em. BTW, welcome to Epic.

FWIW,  I skied exclusively Markers for years.  Suffered from numerous episodes of pre-release despite running the din setting 1 point higher than chart suggests.  By chance,  I bought a ski that required a Look binding.  Over time,  I began to realize I no longer pre-released,  so I backed the din back down 1.  Still no pre-releases.  I've been on P or PX Looks or equivalents ever since.  YMMV.  The bonus is that you can usually find them pretty cheap.  What more can you ask for?

Marker Royal family bindings such as Griffon, Jester, etc. Is completely different animal. Than what you skied on.

I don't doubt you're right. You know how it is,  though,  when you get a bad taste in your mouth for a certain brand...

Thanks for the help so far. I'm now wondering what the differences between the px12 lifter and jib are?

Not enough to make a huge difference either way. I have used both and couldn't really tell the difference.

+1 for Look PX 12's. I have 2 pair. Solid, inexpensive and they don't pre-release.

Check Tramdock.

If there's no noticeable difference between the 2 I'm going to go with the lifter as I can get it for $20 cheaper, unless there is a good reason I should buy the jibs instead.

Nope.  Buy the cheaper ones.
