I have a pair of RX8 Pro with FP9 plate and FS11 bindings. I think the plate is equivalent to the Tyrolia / Head Carve Plate 9.
Either way, it has a bunch of mounting holes for different sole lengths. I was curious if anyone saw a reason I couldn't mount my bindings in a more forward position by just using the next set of holes forward on heel and toe pieces? I only get +1 cm this way due to my sole length giving me only 1 set to work with... but it looks like the normal mounting point is pretty far back.
Also, does anyone know if the holes in the plate have to be drilled or is the self-tapping binding screw enough? Only reason I ask is that when I unwrapped the skis I noticed one set of holes looked like it had come drilled or tapped from the factory, while the other positions have more plastic covering the holes.
