Have AT Boots evolved to the point that I can ditch my regular boots?

My questions is simple. Have AT boots evolved to the point where I can ditch my current boots (Lange Freeride 110's) and go with one pair of boots such as a Scarpa Hurricane or Mobe as my everyday boot. Ideally I would have 2 pairs but assuming that cost is an issue will the new crop of AT boots serve frontside, slack country and back country well enough? Notice I did not say equally well.

I know that there will be trade offs, there always are. I am just wondering if they have gotten to the point where this is a realistic choice.

give it another 2-3 years and possibly but at present there are too many compromises to make it a great solution

I disagree with these guys.  It is all about what you are willing to accept.  the Garmont Endorphin for instance skis very well.  However it does not ski at the level of a race boot on groomers.  You are back east so  hold on ice will definitely be compromised but hyou already knew that.  Out here in the west the compromise is much smaller and I see many good skiers in performance AT boots.
