I am getting ready to pick out some new skis for my 5th grader. I am happy she got 2 seasons out of her last pair. She is a very slender girl but likes to ski small bumps, she loves the trees. We ski Mammoth, Whistler, Vail, Park City & Deer Valley. I am thinking of maybe twin tips so she can learn to do tricks. She is a low intermediate. Any suggestions? Thanks,
What skis for my 10 year old Daughter?

My youngest is now 17, but I've been where you are now (twice).
While twin tips did not exist back then, if you weren't looking at race skis (and even then) there wasn't a whole lot of difference among different junior skis. The right length was more important than anything else; I doubt much has changed.
At the low intermediate level, it has more to do with the skier than the ski. Get her something easy to turn, no longer than head height, and let her improve her skills. If she's adventurous enough for bumps and trees, as her skill improves, she'll figure out tricks regardless of what ski she's on.
