Hello there. I'm heading up to Montana for Christmas and have ridden my old setup to death. I purchased a worn-out airwalk deck (155 venturawide, I'm 5'10, 140lbs) with red&white liquid bindings and size 12 Airwalk boots. (I'm a size 9 US shoe)
I'm not an expert by any means but this setup did well enough for me for the 100 bucks I paid 5 years back, but I'm looking to buy a real board, but on a budget (< $300 USD?) But I have absolutely no idea where to start.
Any tips on making solid purchases (besides the obvious ones: more money doesn't mean better, ignore sales pitches, spend more money on good boots, etc)
As far as preferences go I like moutain-riding more but a few park obstacles every so often are nice, and I really like the Airwalk boots- so comfortable- but I'm not sure if Airwalk even makes quality stuff anymore.
