I'm looking to experiment with my fore/aft balance using shims under the toe pieces of my bindings. I'd like to try varying
thicknesses, from say 1mm through to 5mm. I'm going to do the work myself, as it'll soon add up if i have to keep paying
for binding mounts. I had a couple of questions though:
1. Where can i buy shims or material built to suitable tolerances? Should i just try home depot, or is there anywhere on
line that i can order from? I obviously need something that's going to be durable and wont crack when drilled or under cold
2. This may seem like a stupid question, but.....Obviously i'm going to have to adjust the length of binding screw to
account for the material. Are binding screws special in any way, or can i just pick up some correct length screws at a
hardware store and use those?
