Replacing Salomon 857's on K2 5500's

I have some K2 5500 195's I bought in "83 during my mid-life crises. I love these old 55's & want to continue useing them. ( I usually only make one trip a year when the grandkids are on spring break.) I broke one of the 857's last year ( my fault ) so I need some replacements. I read somewhere there is another, more current binding that uses the same mounting holes. Anyone have any info on this? Or at the risk of ridicule, any suggestions?

Buy new equipment.

Or, I have a pair of Looks I can sell you that are 3 years newer than your bindings. They worked fine when I retired them 25 years ago.

Your point is well taken. However, at this point in my life I'm a groomed run skier. No more blacks, trees or bumps ( usually ). So my point is, as I said "I love these old 55's & want to continue useing them". I've used the new technology & it is fine, but I still enjoy these 'old school' skis & relish the 'kick' they provide coming out of tight turn. I want a modern binding & if I have to redrill then that's OK, but a simple bolt on is first choice.

You can put a Sth14 and use the same holes or a Z10 and need to plug two drill one more but as mentioned there are great new skis out there that you can get for not much and you will be amazed.

Thanks Philpug, I'll check them out. Which would you recommend for a 6'2" 205 lb cruiser who occasionall takes a wrong turn?
