I'm 6"5 250 with a size 14 shoe (boots are a bitch) -- I've been skiing Aspen/Snowmass for the last few years and I'm finally going to go all in and buy some skis.
I demo'd the Volkl AC30's a few years back and really liked those because they gave me a lot of control and speed. I spend most of my time on the blues but will venture to the blacks and I'd like to get a lot better. I'm tired of wasting $150-200 on renting every year when I could buy a pair for less than $500
Any suggestions? I have seen the Scott Crusade Alpine's on Tramdock a few times this last week and wondered if I should pick up the 187s. I am used to 181-ish
I guess what I want to know is a good all-mountain ski for a big guy AND what length you experts out there think I should go for.
I also know next to nothing about bindings, so I'm hoping to find an integrated ski/binding so I don't have to figure it out.
