My daughter has the Nordica Hot Rod 21.5 . Skied it last year (was fitted with custom foot bed for her wicked flat feet) and was great. We went to the Fitters yesterday and though the shell fits, her foot is uncomfortable in it. Everything they tried didn't work and there isn't enough shell to do any expanding with it. The pain is primarily in the outside edge of her toes and the top of her foot. It looks to be that the liner is the culprit. They got her in an older Dalbello P4 we have that's a 22.5 and fits well but isn't as good of a boot.
I'm wondering if the Nordica Junior Doberman's liner is thinner than the Hot Rod's? I was told before they are the same shell and all the characteristics seem the same. The liner looks different so I'm wondering if it is thinner?
If it is, does anyone know if this is something that can be ordered or anyone have one laying around that they would like to make a deal on?
I considered Intuitions but I'm pretty sure their liners are thick and I don't know if a 12 year old can tolerate the pain of molding. The Universal looks to be the thinnest. Since she's a peanut, I don't think the extra stiffness will help either.
