I'm looking at new boots and I'm very interested in the Flexon/Full Tilt/Krypton 'cabrio' 3 buckle/flex tounge concept. I believe it's the way I want to go.. However, I have a few questions regarding Dalbello's two 'cabrio' boot lines.
I currently ski in a 101mm boot right now and it's a bit too narrow. If I had narrower feet, I'd just go ahead and grab the Krypton boots. .... The Axion boots are 'cabrio' design with a 103mm last. Probably perfect for me. Dalbello positions them as a wider Krypton, however, they seem to me to be far from it. They're a 4 buckle system vs. Krp's 3, the tounge doesn't look like it would be as active. There are a lot of other things too like limited adjustability, cheaper liner, etc but what really concerns me is they simply don't look like they would 'flex' and ski the same as Kryptons. So it's not a wider Krypton(?) I've talked to the the two ski shops near me and no one there can really answer this. They just read the Dalbello brochure
and repeat it--but it's vague.
Anyone have input on this???
