Yeah, baby! Dirt cheap tickets! I found out about this from TGR, and thought I should share this invaluable info. I'm going to stock up on tickets this afternoon, in preparation for the fantastic ski season La Nina will hopefully provide the NW with.  So here's the deal:

0-450 miles: $30

451-1000 miles: $60

1001-1500 miles: $90

1501+ miles: $120

That's each way of course, but what makes SWA even better is that they have no baggage fees, and at $50 a pop each way, that can get ridiculous, especially if you have a family. It's amazing that AA and others charge more for your bags than SWA is charging for you AND your bags during this sale.

Hop to it, and happy planning! WOOHOO! Getting stoked!

Hi AfromSA:

Does the "A" stand for Austin?  Anyway, I was in Austin last week for a nephew's wedding.  Beautiful college town.  I obtained round trip tickets from Baltimore to Reno for $288.00.  Fellow Bears who would like to take advantage of this offer should not tarry.  At 9:30 am when I first looked there were three outbound flights for $120.00.  When I finally decided to book at 11:30 am, there was only one flight available.  Similarly for return flights.

Again, thanks for sharing .

Think snow,

I need tickets to Jackson Hole in January, Steamboat(Hayden) in February, and Crested Butte (Gunnison) in March.  Can Southwest get me there?  NO!!!

sorry about that fujative, but nothing is perfect. for years southwest didnt fly Houston to Denver and i had to take fronteir. now, fronteir is fine, but it had 2 flights daily, southwest has 5 now.

and i'm BOOKED ! mid-jan to breck where the snow is coming in the dryest, the ice is frozen over at the keystone skate lake and they're going to have to tell me to get off the mountain every day !

(if i can only keep myself from booking another trip before the the sale ends. going to be tough).

Thanks for the tip.

Southwest recently increased service out of Ft. Lauderdale and had some good prices to Denver. Alas, the dates that I would have purchased tix on impulse are blacked out on this sale. Still, their fares are consistently competitive and their sane luggage policy coupled with more flights to places I need to get to, will make me a regular customer.

How many of those flights on a given day do you actually plan to be on?  In most cases, I only go on a specific route once a day, usually to get where I'm going.  Not really sure how 5 would benefit me...

Just booked tickets to Portland, OR for December 10th and 13th. Cheapest prices I've EVER seen to fly across the country. Gonna go play on Mt. Hood, and take advantage of how La Nina's supposed to treat it. biggrin.gif

Too bad my next trips will be me driving to Taos for a week in January, then gonna hit up Jackson Hole in February, and Big Sky in March. I wish SWA flew to Wyoming. Maybe I should purchase some tickets to Denver for a few random weekends.

I'm just still amazed with these prices. Cheaper than buying the gas to drive there!
