The 2011 Watea 114 is reported to have an "early rise" rockered tip. Anyone ski both last years and the new ones with the rocker? I have a line a on a pair of 2010 Watea 114s that I plan to use for deep days here in Utah. Have been skiing on Nordica Enforcers for seveal years and they are great except for those days when it is above the knee. Found myself wnating more float a few times last year.

I didn't ski Watea 114 but a little skinier Watea 101 on Alta demo day in April 2010. Skied both 2010 Watea 101 (no early rise) and 2011 Watea 101 (with eary rise/rocker) in 182 cm (I'm 5"9', 160#). It was snowing (about 6 inches fresh) on not of previous recent snowfall, so conditions were ok. I tried it in some powder stashes left from previous storm and cut up powder / crud everywhere else. I found that both skies are pretty similar when it comes to handling however 2011 Watea 101 (with eary rise/rocker) was turnier in tight spots, felt more maneuverable and stable in cut up powder / powder. I was actually considering 101 vs. 94 for everyman everyday forgiving western ski and think I would go for 2011 Watea 101 if I would get a good deal because of the above mentioned maneuverability.
