trying to find smith i/o replacement lenses for a good price...any good (value) links out there one can share?...

AFAIK you can only get them new directly from Smith.  Best deal I saw was a 3-pack of different lenses that some online stores were offering last year.  I couldn't find any cheap deals on single lenses when I was looking last season.

The good news is that the two lenses that ship with the goggles cover pretty much any sane lighting conditions.  I added a clear one for night skiing, but haven't felt the need for anything else.

thanks...i liked the lenses that came with them...but the goggles dropped off of my helmet and they fell to the ground, getting scratched...then whatever liquid is inside got smeared over ...in short it's hooped.

I think you have to get them from Smith.

You can get them here:

the lens, unfortunately, is the 'expensive' part of the goggle... and because people will replace the lenses for years to come, they don't really get closed-out the way an unpopular goggle graphic might.

+1 for Prolens. Fast shipping too. (free if you spend enough)

I've been buying my lenses from them for awhile now.

Keep an eye out on Ebay. I got three replacement lenses last week (2 sensor and 1 ignitor) for about $15. They were used but in very good condition. There is a new Sensor for $39 on there now and other looking for best offers. Hope this helps.

Keep an eye out for deals on the whole goggle during the summer on Tramdock or Steep and Cheap. Often times they will blow out a whole goggle with 2 lenses and case for the price of a single replacement lense. I spent about 100 dollars for 2 set's of I/O's this year.

Looks like lenses are for the most part cheaper on the smith website ($45 vs. $55): http://www.smithoptics.com/products/#/Replacement+lenses/Snow+Goggle+Lenses/IO+Lenses/view/

I tried a pair of those this year. The fan is extremely loud/noisy in the phenom model. I ended up returning 2x and choosing the Prophecy turbo instead.

Not to change the subject, but how is the clear lens only 84% VLT?

Maybe they put a reflective coating on the lens to help with the brightness/glare of the HID lights they use for night skiing.
