HOW SKIER SMART ARE YOU : PICTURE
What he means is he just gave up and deferred to his expected winner. Sort of like what I did. I decided naming posters, pencils and such wouldn't cut it.
I saw it, recognized it and blanked out on the name, model, etc. Only that once it was a highly coveted ski. And it took me back about 12 years, but that was it.
-how do you talk about "it" to real skiers
-how do you ask for "it"
-how do you share your knowledge about "it"
If you do not know its name, its use and its history!
Sorry, Helluvaskier, you have a name, tools have a "name" and techniques have names! First things you learn; in ski technique, in school, in work is the "proper" names, labels of things, tools, and objects!
Hope you enjoyed the quiz!
Have a nice winter.
Ha,,,the Rotomat and the Rosemount boot they will come next year!
Oh,,,,,I forgot,,,,the "thong",,,,,,actually the "long thong" is coming also! Just think how "ahead of the style skiers were,,,with the long thong"
Hope you enjoyed the view!
You impress me with your eagle eyes. Now really impress me and identify that piece on the left of the "airplane" ! I am sure all of you are asking,,,, "what does this airplane have to do with skiing) !
Buy some Leki ski poles and you will understand!
No one saw the iron?
No one saw the Ptex repair noodles!
No one saw the Atomic center piece
No one saw the Atomic boot tool ( red and round )
Have fun "discovering" all sorts of "items"
I promise to contact all of you,,,soon
Thanks for enjoying this quiz,,,
Have a great skiing season.
did you read my answers?

Where's your file card?

The aeroplane is a metal pin for dismantling the Leki quick release lever, e.g. for adding the screw cups to the tops of the poles when mounting slalom guards. Dunno what the thing on the left is.
Can't tell if it is plastic or metal. If it is plastic it looks kind of like a spare boot heel plate. If it is metal it might be part of a race plate?
At a guess I would say it slots into the back of a binding channel/plate and then screwed down to lock it into place.
Hey Vistman and players, this was fun and I'm a bit depressed it is over. I'd like to see more fun stuff like this. How about an occasional photo of messed up gear and a "how the heck would you fix THAT"? We could offer suggestions then see the Pro's answer to the dilemma. What do you think Vistman? We have how to wikis and specific threads, but this wold be fun too wouldn't it?
